The dock location was actually convenient for us, and it was an easy walk from the parking area. I was a little confused at first about where exactly to go, but once we figured it out, it was fine. The ferry itself was okay, nothing really special, but it got the job done...

We used Sheplers Ferry on our trip and the schedule is what made it so nice. There was plenty of times to choose from, so we didn’t feel rushed or stuck planning around one ferry. We actually missed the one we were supposed to take, but another one was coming not long after, which makes the day way less stressful. Booking was easy too. I’d definitely use them again because the frequent trips really helped.

"Nice special cruise, smooth overall"
We took one of Shepler’s special cruises and overall it was a good experience. Booking was simple, the boat left pretty much when it was supposed to, and the crew was friendly without making a whole big thing out of it, which I appreciated. After dealing with so many overcomplicated service experiences lately, it was nice to just get on the boat and enjoy the ride. It did feel a little packed in a few spots, so that’s why I’d say 4 stars, but we still had a nice time and I’d do it again.

"Easy trip with my mobility scooter"
I booked with Shepler’s Ferry and had a really smooth experience. I use a mobility scooter, so I was kind of expecting the boarding process to be a little stressful, because that’s usually how these things can go. But the staff helped me on and off like it was no problem at all, which I really appreciated. Their website also had the accessibility info I was looking for, so planning ahead was easier than I assumed it would be. Everyone I dealt with was kind and patient. I’d definitely use them again.

"Smooth ferry ride overall"
Took the ferry last weekend it felt safe the whole time. I usually assume a small boarding delay means things are about to get messy, but it was really no big deal. The crew seemed like they knew exactly what they were doing, and the directions were clear enough that there wasn’t much confusion. Overall, it was a good, easy trip

Booked our tickets online and it was simple, honestly. When we got to the dock, the staff pointed us in the right direction and boarding moved along quick. The ferry was clean, left on time, and the ride was nice and calm. We had bags with us too, and I was kind of expecting that to be a pain, but it really wasn’t. I’d use Shepler’s again next time, especially if it’s that easy...

"On time and no surprises"
I’m always a little nervous with stuff like this because I hate feeling like I’m getting fooled by bad timing or hidden issues, but this ferry was great. It left right on time both ways, the trip was easy, and everything felt reliable. No stress at all.

We took the ferry with my wife and kids, it was a really smooth experience from start to finish. The staff were friendly and helpful, boarding was well organized, and we never felt rushed or stressed. The kids absolutely loved being out on the water, which made the whole trip even better. It felt safe, easy, and reliable, definitely a good family day out for us.

Boats was clean and the waiting area looked tidy too. The bathrooms could use a bit more attention but overall it was a good ride and I don’t really have any big complaints.

"Refund was easier than I expected"
I had to cancel our ferry tickets last minute, and I was ready for it to turn into a whole thing. I don’t remember every little step, but I do remember the refund policy being easy to understand and the money coming back without much fuss. It took a bit of waiting, but nothing stressful. I’d definitely book with Sheplers again.

"Easy and Smooth Boarding Experience"
I used Sheplers Ferry last weekend the whole process was easier than I expected. The line moved quickly, and the staff did a great job pointing everyone in the right direction so it never felt confusing. It was a little crowded near the gate, which is why I’d say 4 stars instead of 5, but overall it was a really smooth experience and we got on without much waiting.

"Friendly staff, but the waiting was frustrating"
The staff were really friendly and professional, and they answered my questions without making me feel like I was bothering them. The ferry trip itself was easy enough once we got going. The only annoying part was the waiting around beforehand, which got frustrating after a while. Other than that, it was a decent experience.

I really liked the ferry ride overall. The seats were comfortable enough, and I appreciated that they weren’t sticky or worn out-looking, which is the kind of thing I always notice. The bathrooms were clean too, even down to the sink area not being a mess. The snack and drink options were simple but nice to have while waiting. The crew kept everything moving without making it feel rushed, and the boat itself felt tidy, like someone was actually keeping an eye on it. Nothing fancy, but for a quick trip to Mackinac, it was easy, pleasant, and I’d ride again

"Beautiful ferry views I still remember"
I took the ferry a while back, and what really sticks in my mind is how nice the views were. I remember taking a few photos along the way, especially when we got closer to the water and the scenery opened up. It was a bit crowded, but looking back, I’d still say it was worth it for the views alone.
